Discarded Beauty.
These pieces are simply leftover scraps from projects of architecture and design students, littered alleys, and recycling bins. The utilized portions were most likely assembled into something beautiful and well thought out, while these dismantled pieces were left discarded and nameless.
This collection highlights the hidden beauty that can be left behind from past interactions. These pieces can evoke symmetry, balance, texture, emotion, and a sense of unintentional beauty.
This is a print of a piece in series 01 of Discarded Beauty: You're Red.
You're Red.
Mortar smears. Scrapped wood. Scattered graphite. Scribbled notes of the feelings of the color red. The elements that existed before iterations were added to this piece provoked the messaging and tone. This piece has the essence of the greater Discarded Beauty collection, but it also explores the representation of verbal expression. The textures, grit, and tense feeling that originated in these materials mixed with the emotions brought home one day led to the expression of the color red through a focused lens.
