Anywhere there is people, there is probably powerlines around. A crucial piece of infrastructure that is often seen as messy or simply ignored, but a closer look at these littered lines will reveal a complex system.

This collection aims to highlight the tangled intricacies that exist all around us. These pieces elevate urban infrastructure and invite an observer to see the environment through a lens that appreciates the subtle beauty of our urban fabrics.

This is a piece in the 1st breadth of Powerlines: Wall Assembly 

Wall Assembly.

Inspired by the urban growth seen in the West Loop neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois.

The setting sun casts a warmer and hazy glow onto the barely cladded west side of the exposed structure, warming the concrete and exposing the different systems that are being pieced together. Brick veneer. Cables. Steel Angles. Weather Barriers. Unfinished and uncomfortable, yet a calm and subtle stillness from the late summer day prevails.
