This piece was inspired by the studies and attributes that are consistent across the Discarded Beauty and Mortar & Shape collections. 

This 8x10 canvas first featured the blue and red rectangular portions defined by the black borders. The blue and red were slowly built up with layers and bolder color that helped define and create contrast to the darker nature of the rest of the painting. The dark gray was watered down and intentionally applied to look smeared, a little transparent, and to be a certain continuation of the bold black border. Gel pens with an electric blue and red ink were added to the blue portion, with fragments of writing that are barely legible. Looking closely, there is reference to pop culture and cosmopolitan cities.
